Andres Alvez nació en Montevideo, Uruguay, y desde muy temprana edad reside en el barrio de Banfield, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Trabaja profesionalmente como ilustrador y caricaturista desde el año 2000. Tiene una extensa trayectoria en medios locales e internacionales. Trabajo para EEUU, España, Irlanda, Canadá, Polonia, Suiza, Centro América, India, Chile y más.  Su diversidad de estilos le permitió trabajar en diferentes medios y géneros tanto como ilustrador, caricaturista y guionista, haciendo tapas e interiores de libros y revistas, escribe y dibuja comics y humor gráfico para diferentes publicaciones regulares, libros infantiles, y colecciones de literatura juvenil. Colaboro para diferentes medios audiovisuales (publicidades, video juegos y películas de animación) haciendo story boards, diseños de personajes, back grounds, incluso haciendo programas educativos sobre la caricatura para Tv digital. Dicto clases de dibujo en la UNLA (Universidad Nacional de Lanus) durante 5 años y desde el 2007 junto a amigos y colegas abrió la Escuela X Arte, en donde imparte clases de ilustración y caricatura. Actualmente colabora con diversas publicaciones y editoriales tales como la revista Caras & Caretas, el suplemento deportivo Enganche del Diario Página 12, la Editorial Planeta, Editorial Paidos, Grupo Octubre, Grupo Macmillar, Editorial Estrada, El Zorzal Ediciones, SM Ediciones, Pagina 12, Editorial Olivia, Editorial Santillana, SportMob, Hannacroix Creek Books, entre otros…

Andres Alvez was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, and from an early age lives in the neighborhood of Banfield, Buenos Aires, Argentina. He has been working professionally as an illustrator and caricaturist since 2000. He has extensive experience in local and international media. I work for the USA, Spain, Ireland, Canada, Poland, Switzerland, Central America, India, Chile and more. His diversity of styles allowed him to work in different media and genres as an illustrator, cartoonist and screenwriter, making covers and interiors for books and magazines, writing and drawing comics and graphic humor for different regular publications, children’s books, and literature collections for young people. I collaborate for different audiovisual media (advertising, video games and animated films) making story boards, character designs, back grounds, even making educational programs about cartoons for digital TV. He taught drawing classes at the UNLA (National University of Lanus) for 5 years and since 2007, together with friends and colleagues, he opened the Escuela X Arte, where he teaches illustration and caricature classes.
